Born October 1, 1913 - December 19, 1991
Winnie Mae Ford was the 7th child of George and Victoria Ford, born October 1, 1913. It was rumored that Winnie Mae made the best biscuits in Brazos County, and maybe all of Texas. Althought, she never married and had no children, she truly loved family. She never hesitated to help or to show love to her relatives and friends when needed.
Winnie was very active in the church choir. Her first church home was Roans Chapel Baptist Church, which she joined at the young age of 8. No matter where she lived, whether it was Washington or Texas, she would find a Baptist church to join. She was always a valuable member of the choir, and truly loved helping other.
She really enjoyed going fishing with her sisters-in-law, Christine and Bell, every day when the weather permitted. In the 1940's after returning to Texas from working at the Kaiser Shipyard in Vancouver, Washington, she took care of her father until his death. After his death she returned to Washington to work as a dietician.
